About Wayne Static

Wayne Static (born Wayne Richard Wells) was an American musician, best known as the founder and frontman of the industrial-metal band Static-X. He was born on November 4, 1965, in Muskegon, Michigan, and passed away on November 1, 2014, in Landers, California, at the age of 48.

Static identified as an atheist and pescatarian. He married adult film actress Tera Wray on January 10, 2008, in Las Vegas after a brief courtship. Additionally, Static made a mystery guest appearance on Radium Vol 2, an adult film hosted by Wray.

Sadly, Wray apparently died by suicide on January 13, 2016, in her friend’s apartment in Joshua Tree, California. Her body was discovered on January 14, 2016.

Fans of Wayne Static remember him for his distinctive appearance, which included spiky, jet-black hair and heavy makeup. Moreover, loved him for his aggressive, heavy music, which blended elements of industrial, nu metal, and alternative rock. His vocals were often harsh and aggressive, but he was also capable of singing in a more melodic style.

In addition to his work with Static-X, Wayne Static released a solo album in 2011 called “Pighammer.” Wayne also collaborated with other artists, including collaborations with the rap group DMC and the metal band Soulfly.
