Cane Hill

About Cane Hill

Cane Hill is a metal band known for their intense and aggressive sound that fuses elements of nu-metal, metalcore, and southern rock. Additionally, childhood friends Elijah Witt and James Barnett, formed the band in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2011. Moreover, they later recruited bassist Ryan Henriquez and drummer Devin Clark to complete the lineup.

Cane Hill took their name from a mental institution in their hometown that was notorious for its mistreatment of patients. The band wanted to draw attention to the issue of mental health and the stigma surrounding it, and they felt that the name was a fitting way to do so.

Cane Hill has an impressive tour history, having shared the stage with some of the biggest names in heavy music. For example, the shared the stage with Marilyn Manson, Bullet For My Valentine, and Killswitch Engage. Moreover they have also played at major festivals like Download Festival and Vans Warped Tour.

The origins of the band can be traced back to the high school years of Witt and Barnett, who bonded over their love of heavy music. They started playing together in various local bands before eventually forming Cane Hill. Moreover, bands like Slipknot and Korn influenced the band’s early sound. However, they soon developed their own unique style that blends heavy riffs, catchy hooks, and raw emotion.
