Between The Buried and Me

About Between The Buried And Me

In 2000, the members Tommy Giles Rogers Jr., Paul Waggoner, and Nick Fletcher formed Between The Buried And Me (BTBAM). The group came together in Raleigh, NC after their previous metalcore bands, “From Here On” and “Prayer for Cleansing,” disbanded. Jason King later joined on bass. Additionally, the band’s name came from a line in the Counting Crows song “Ghost Train.”

Their first release was a demo with three songs. The three songs were later re-recorded for their 2002 self-titled album, and released through Lifeforce Records. “Aspirations” was the first video from the album. The video was slow to catch on but it caught the attention of Victory Records who re-released it in 2004.

After shifting from Victory Records to Metal Blade in 2011, BTBAM released their first extended play “The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues,” followed by the full-length album “The Parallax II: Future Sequence.” Moreover, the band released the album “Colors II” in August 2021, a sequel to 2007’s “Colors.” The band currently consists of Rogers (vocals, keyboards), Waggoner (guitar, backing vocals), Dustie Waring (guitar), Dan Briggs (bass, keyboards), and Blake Richardson (drums).

Born Of Osiris

About Born of Osiris

Born of Osiris, a progressive metalcore band, formed in 2003 in Illinois. Its current members are Ronnie Canizaro, Lee McKinney, Nick Rossi, Cameron Losch, and Joe Buras. The band has played at Summer Slaughter Tour (2008, 2009, 2015, 2018) and Music as a Weapon Tour 4.

The group changed its name several times before settling on Born of Osiris, inspired by Egyptian deity Osiris. In 2018, they released “Silence the Echo” and Nick Rossi joined as a replacement for David Da Rocha. The band released “The Accursed” from its fifth album, “The Simulation,” in November 2018 and went on a tour in 2019.

Former guitarist Jason Richardson announced on May 7, 2020 that after nine years of seeking his royalty fees for his work on The Discovery, Sumerian Records finally paid him the outstanding debt. Additionally, Born of Osiris released “White Nile” and “Angel or Alien” in 2021 and announced a new album. The band started writing a follow-up album in 2022.
