About Incite
Incite, an American groove/thrash metal band from Phoenix, Arizona, formed in 2004. The band’s current lineup consists of Richie Cavalera (vocals), Christopher “EL” Elsten (bass), Lennon Lopez (drums), and Mike DeLeon (guitar). Additionally, Richie is the stepson of Max Cavalera, formerly of Sepultura and currently in Soulfly and Cavalera Conspiracy.
Incite has released two EPs, Murder (2006) and Divided We Fail (2007). Furthermore they have six full-length albums, The Slaughter (2009), All Out War (2012), Up in Hell (2014), Oppression (2016), Built to Destroy (2019), and Wake Up Dead (2022). Moreover, the band is currently signed to Minus Head Records. The band formed in 2004, and eventually released an EP in 2007 called Divided We Fail. The group’s first track posted on MySpace was “Army of Darkness.” In 2007, the original Incite lineup underwent an overhaul, with Richie Cavalera becoming the sole remaining original member.
In 2009, the band released their debut LP, The Slaughter, and went on tours supporting groups such as Soulfly and The Dillinger Escape Plan. However, they soon parted ways with their record label. After signing with Minus Head Records, the band began working on their second album, All Out War, which was eventually released on November 20, 2012. Former Machine Head and Soulfly guitarist Logan Mader produced the album, and it was supported by the Maximum Cavalera Tour, which included Soulfly (fronted by Richie’s stepfather Max Cavalera) and Lody Kong (consisting of Richie’s half brothers Zyon and Igor). On April 8, 2022, the band released their sixth album, titled Wake Up Dead.
