About Ektomorf

Zoltán “Zoli/Zotya” Farkas founded Ektomorf in 1993 in Mezőkovácsháza, Hungary, a small city near the Romanian border. He, as the songwriter and leader of the band, is the only remaining founder member in the current line-up, which also includes Szebasztián Simon (lead guitar), Csaba Zahorán (bass) and Dániel Szabó (drums).

Farkas, who has a Romani background, faced racism and prejudices, which required the band to put years of effort into building their international career. In 2003, their collaboration with Danish producer Tue Madsen resulted in a breakthrough.

Since 2002, the band has released fifteen studio albums and one live album until 2021. On 7 September 2016, their single “Az vagyok, aki voltam” debuted on Rádió Rock 95.8.
