About The Dead Rabbitts

The Dead Rabbitts are a post-hardcore band that formed in 2011. In mid-2012, The Dead Rabbitts announced their partnership with To Write Love on Her Arms and PledgeMusic to release an EP. When pre-orders reached the target goal, To Write Love On Her Arms received 5 percent of the raised money. Additionally, pledgers were provided with updates and exclusive videos. Moreover, after meeting the target, the band released the EP on October 4, 2012. The band then embarked on the “Pizza Party Tour” with Get Scared, Rob the Cartel, and As Thick As Thieves. The tour began in Tucson, Arizona on September 12, 2012, and ended on September 29 in Sacramento, California.

Two days after the release of their second studio album, This Emptiness, guitarist Bobby Whitaker left the band. On June 13, 2017, the band released a remix version of “Dead Again,” featuring rapper Whitney Peyton.

In September 2019, the band posted on social media that they were in the studio with Cameron Mizell and announced that TJ Bell was no longer part of the band. Mabbitt stated that “TJ Bell is no longer a member of The Dead Rabbitts but the door is always open to him.”

In 2019, the band announced lineup changes with Erik Jensen as guitarist and Blake Bailey as drummer. Then in December, the band released their second EP Break the Static, which was their first release without an official bassist since TJ Bell left in early 2019.

In September 2020, the band announced that former short-time rhythm guitarist August Cryns had passed away. At the album release party, for their third album, Rumination, Colton Westerman joined the band on stage, playing bass. Soon after, he joined the band’s as their new bassist.

About Get Scared

Get Scared, an American post-hardcore band, formed in 2008. The band is currently on hiatus and consists of Nicholas Matthews (vocals), Johnny B (guitar), Bradley Iverson (bass), and Dan Juarez (drums).

On July 12, 2011, the band released their debut studio album, Best Kind of Mess. Later in 2011, the band released Cheap Tricks and Theatrics B-Sides, following Nicholas Matthews’ first departure to join Blacklisted Me. However, Joel Faviere replaced Matthews soon after. Additionally, In 2012, the band released their third EP and first with Faviere, Built for Blame, Laced With Shame. However, a few months after the EP’s release, Faviere was kicked out when Matthews rejoined the band.

After Matthews’ return, the band signed with Fearless Records and released their second full-length album, Everyone’s Out To Get Me, on November 11, 2013. Moreover, the band released their third studio album, Demons, on October 30, 2015. The release marked a departure from their post-hardcore sound in favor of a more metalcore-like sound. On April 19, 2019, amidst a hiatus, the band released their fourth and final album, The Dead Days. Vocalist Nicholas Matthews later stated that the band had broken up due to multiple issues between the band members.

Rob The Cartel was from Los Angeles, California and was very short lived. The band blended heavy and melodic elements to create a unique musical sound fueled by driving riffs, explosive drumming, exuberant lows, and haunting vocals. In 2012, the band toured with the Dead Rabbitts and Get Scared, but they disappeared soon after. Maybe the Cartel got to them.
