About August Burns Red

August Burns Red, a metalcore band from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, formed in 2003. Lead guitarist John Benjamin “JB” Brubaker, rhythm guitarist Brent Rambler, drummer Matt Greiner, lead vocalist Jake Luhrs and bassist Dustin Davidson comprise the band’s current lineup. Additionally, the band earned Grammy Award nominations in 2016 and 2018 for Best Metal Performance. Moreover, August Burns Red has released nine studio albums, with Guardians being their latest release on April 3, 2020.

The band’s members founded August Burns Red in March 2003 while attending high school. They began practicing in drummer Matt Greiner’s old egg house and basement on his family’s farmland. After playing many local shows within Lancaster, they recorded their first EP titled Looks Fragile After All with label CI Records in 2004.

During the same year, vocalist Jon Hershey quit the band, and Josh McManness took over as lead singer. After playing with McManness for several months, August Burns Red signed to Solid State Records in 2005 and released their first full-length album, Thrill Seeker, on November 8, 2005. Drummer Matt Greiner was endorsed by Truth Custom Drums in 2006 following the album’s release. The band also released a remixed version of Constellations on June 14, 2019, for the album’s 10-year anniversary.

August Burns Red embarked on the Constellations 10th Anniversary World Tour in 2019, which ran from June to December. The band toured North America over the summer, went to Australia in October, and concluded the tour in Europe in November and December. On December 13, 2019, the band released an instrumental edition of Phantom Anthem. August Burns Red released their first single, “Defender,” from their ninth studio album, Guardians, on February 6, 2020. The band embarked on a full North American tour in support of Killswitch Engage after the release of Guardians.

About Miss May I

Miss May I, a metalcore band, formed in 2007 in Troy, Ohio with Levi Benton, Justin Aufdemkampe, BJ Stead, Jerod Boyd, and Ryan Neff. In late 2007, Ryan left to join Rose Funeral and Josh Gillespie replaced him. They released their debut album “Apologies Are for the Weak” in 2008 while they were still in high school.

In 2011, The band toured with Close to Home, Of Mice & Men, and Texas in July on the “I’m Alive” tour. After that, they co-headlined the ‘No Guts No Glory’ tour with Pierce the Veil, Woe, Is Me, and Letlive. Moreover, in the same year, Miss May I appeared on the European “Scream it Like you Mean it” tour with We Came as Romans, The Word Alive, and This or the Apocalypse.

In 2015, they recorded their fifth album “Deathless” with Joey Sturgis and released it on August 7th. The first single “I.H.E.” came out on June 17th, followed by the title track “Deathless” as the second single.

Miss May I signed with SharpTone Records in 2016 after leaving Rise Records. On September 2, 2022, they released their seventh studio album “Curse of Existence.”

About Northlane

Northlane is an Australian progressive metalcore band that formed in 2009. The band’s current lineup includes lead vocalist Marcus Bridge, guitarists Jon Deiley and Josh Smith, bassist Brendon Padjasek, and drummer Nic Pettersen. Northlane gained prominence in the metal scene with their debut album, Discoveries, which was released in 2011.

Since then, the band has released several successful albums, including Singularity in 2013, Node in 2015, Mesmer in 2017, Alien in 2019, and most recently, Live at the Roundhouse in 2020. They have won several awards for their music, including the Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album ARIA Award for Node in 2015.

In addition to their successful music career, Northlane is also known for their activism and advocacy for social issues. They have used their music and platform to raise awareness about mental health, climate change, and other important issues.
